Fr. James B. Reuter - A Filipino by Heart

James B. Reuter, an american seminarian from the Jesuit formation house, who came to the Philippines at the age of 22 and remained for the entirety of his life. He passed away at the age of 96 on December 31, 2012. He was adored by many Filipinos for his dedication and perseverance in spreading the love and gospel of God. He had also received praises and recognition for his work including the "Outstanding Service to the Catholic Church in the Field of Mass Media" award which was presented personally by his Holiness Pope John Paul ll.

Father James B. Reuter was also made an "honorary citizen of the Republic of the Philippines" in 1984. His uplifting musicals and moving stage dramas will remain in the hearts of many Pinoys.
